SEER Intelligent Logistics Solution for Daily Production Workshop
Background of the project
In recent years, with the coordinated development of China's regional economy and the rapid growth of the Internet industry and the service industry, manufacturing labor shortages in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions have caused serious employment difficulties and high labor costs.
Customer issues
The customer is a global well-known enterprise, mainly engaged in production and sales of personal care products, cleaning supplies, cosmetics and health food products, with annual sales exceeding 10 billion. In the packaging workshop of the modern production center in South-China headquarters, the material transportation between the production lines originally relied on manual labor. However, due to a great deal of goods and employees, the cost of labours is high, and it is urgent to improve the level of logistics automation in the workshop.
SEER solutions
According to the customer's on-site situation, SEER assisted the integrator to implement the automation transformation of the company's packaging line production line. Through AMB-powered roller robots, SEER Enterprise Enhanced Digitalization MP (SEED), one-stop implementation tool Roboshop Pro, automatic charging piles, etc. The entire solution helped the customer achieve intelligent transportation between packaging lines.
There are two areas of labeling workshop and printing workshop at the customer site, of which there are 2 automatic labeling roller lines in the labeling workshop and 7 automatic printing roller lines in the printing workshop.
It is necessary to transport the labeled full carton of protective products from the labeled roller line to the roller line in the printing workshop. User's MES system is connected through SEED, and sends instructions to the dispatching system through the MES system, which dispatches mobile robots to complete the production line docking task. If some AMB-powered roller robot has a low battery, the dispatching system will dispatch it to the parking area for automatic charging.

Difficulties
  1. Due to the large workload of the workshop production line, a large number of mobile robots are required to complete the transportation work in coordination, requiring an effective scheduling system for scheduling.
  2. The Channel is narrow, and it is a mixed work of man and machine, which has certain safety risks.

Countermeasures
  1. SEED can simultaneously dispatch and deploy hundreds of mobile robots in multiple models and perform optimal task allocation and dispatch the most suitable mobile robots to complete transportation work.
  2. SEER has a comprehensive safety warning mechanism to ensure transportation safety. Hardware protections include audible and visual reminders (safety warning lights, voice broadcast reminders), anti-collision lasers, and safety touch edge protection, etc. Reduce the robot's travel speed by using the software to define the area so as to avoid collisions at large vehicle speeds, and provide safety training to field staff.
